My Sweet Girl :)

Does anyone remember that blog post from August where I said, "My life is finally calming down?" HA! Apparently my life was truly just beginning and I will let my pictures speak for themselves...

I got engaged and married! (Married 12/20/2014)

Announced our beautiful surprise <3

IT'S A BABY GIRL!! Due 6/21/15.

I began to grow! This picture was around 20 weeks! :)

Fast forward to NOW! 30 weeks pregnant! I am almost there!!
It has been a whirlwind seven months and I just can't believe that I am going to be a Mommy! As I am writing this post my sweet baby is doing back flips in my belly. It is such a funny yet comforting feeling. I have had so many different feelings and mixed emotions about this journey my husband and I are about to embark on. When I found out I was pregnant I was in a state of utter shock. I finally was with the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with and do everything "by the book" so to speak and BAM! Bombshell isn't even the term to describe it. I know there is no such thing as a timeline or even as a rule book but I just couldn't believe what was happening to me and, to us. Change was on the horizon for sure. Two new puppies and a baby on the way!? Both of our families were nothing but supportive and beyond thrilled for us! They supported us every step of the way. Let me tell you, it is such a beautiful thing when everyone who is important to you is on board with all of your decisions. Not only as individuals but as a couple as well. The beginning of my pregnancy was extremely hard on me. Everyone has questions for you and will give you their opinion whether you want it or not. You learn who your true friends are and who you just need to take a step back from. Sometimes there was just too much negativity for me to handle. I know other people's opinions and words should not matter. However, when it comes from people that you have invested a lot of yourself in and have seen those individuals through all of their happy moments you automatically expect the same in return. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out that way. There was never any doubt in our minds as a couple the road we wanted to travel. Mommy and Daddy have become our new titles and we are nothing but excited (and nervous) for the road that lies ahead of us. There is no sugar coating these past seven months but when looking back on all of our events both my husband and I feel just as lucky and as blessed as we felt since day one. I must have done something so right in life to end up with an amazing man like him. I thank God every day for the path he has chosen for me. Without God nothing is possible. I am so thankful for this healthy glowing life inside of me.

I have missed blogging so, SO much! Keri and I used to be able to write a new blog post every day of the week. Impending Mommy life has given me a swift kick in the butt! Although Keri and I won't be posting every single day I can't wait to put up weekly or weekend updates on here for everyone to see! Keri has so many beautiful things going on in her life as well! But I will let her catch you up on that in her own time! For everyone who has been following our blog since the beginning you were able to see just the Nanny in me. Now I can't wait to introduce the Mommy in me. I want to incorporate baby updates, more favorite baby and toddler gadgets, nursery updates (as I am currently designing our daughter's room) and of course once I give birth we can let the real fun begin!

I look forward to what the future has to hold! I have all of this excitement within me and can't wait for her special arrival! Thank you to everyone for your patience and to those who enjoy reading our blog as much as we enjoy writing it!

XOXO,
Danielle

Big Sister Coming Your Way!

We are so excited to announce that Makenna will be a BIG SISTER come September 2014!!

FYI: I have come to realize secrets is spelled wrong on the chalkboard! Lol I could blame it on pregnancy brain but I just really always spell that word wrong! #chalkboardfail :) how many of you caught that before I brought it to your attention?

Just after Makenna's 3rd birthday, we will be welcoming a baby girl to our family. September is a very packed month for us. There are a ton of family birthdays and anniversaries, including my husband's and mine. But since "Gummy Bear," as Makenna calls her, will be born just a week after her big sister, we do not need to buy anything. My husband now appreciates my hoarding the storing of 18 bins of clothing crowding our attic. Let's hope Gummy Bear does not grow at a faster rate than Makenna! Fingers crossed!!

Making her social media debut :) "Gummy Bear"

Everyone who already knows kept asking when we were going to officially announce. There were a few complications in the beginning. I had the easiest pregnancy ever with Makenna. No common pregnancy symptoms or aches and pains. I had just turned 13 weeks with Gummy Bear and was joking around with my husband that I could be pregnant for a living since I have it so easy. The next day all hell broke loose. I'm not ready to share all the details of that, but I am so thankful for my family and friends that were there for me. It was a really scary and stressful time. Thank God everything is going well now!

Mother's Day

This shirt makes me look huge in these two pics! I am not that big. Reference family picture above :)

See disappearing bump in this pic. We went to the Met's game last Thursday. Makenna talks a big game how she loves Mr. Met.... we meet him and she totally freaks out and clings to me for dear life. As soon as we leave and get some distance, Mr. Met is awesome to her again. Cracks me up every time.

I also want to take a minute to thank you all for following along with our blog. Danielle and I are really excited with all the positive feedback we have been getting! Please feel free to post comments or suggestions! You can also email us with any topics you would like us to cover. We have some great post ideas coming soon! We LOVE you all!

XOXO
